This was written by one of my students in an assignment to come up with a definition for love. It was part of a much larger paper and is missing some of the bigger context, but all the same, it makes me feel like I’m from a very different generation and it makes me feel a little sad for her.
Pick me up at 6:00 and we'll go from there to my house for dinner, OK?
OK. Great. See you at 6:00.
We're here. Where are you? (via sms)
Where were you? What were you doing?
I was at a birthday party.
Why didn't you leave when we texted you?
Because we said you would come at 6:00.
We're gonna have Mexican food for dinner. It's called 'enchiladas.'
Oh, really? So, what are we having for dinner tonight?
I see. Is that an American food?
Nope. It's Spanish.
